Wandelvakantie Yomads

News from SNP

Dear friends!

After almost forty years of service, of which the last 18 years as general manager, it is high time to hand over the baton. Having started in 1986 as a nature guide, I have seen SNP grow into one of the most special travel organizations in the Netherlands over the years. All the while still true to its core values: Introducing people to the beauty of nature in a unique way, away from the crowds and with respect for locals, flora and fauna.

Over these years, I have discovered how important it is to work with reliable partners, in good times as well as difficult times. I would therefore like to sincerely thank you for this special collaboration, without which SNP could never have grown into what it is today.

The good news is that my successor is cut from the same SNP cloth: from now on, Manon van Dilgt will take on the final responsibility. She is a familiar face for many, as she has been with SNP since 2008. First as a marketing manager and as part of the board since 2019. I have full confidence that she will be able to lead SNP into a new and bright future.

All that remains for me is to say goodbye. Perhaps we will meet again at one of our destinations – after all, I now have a lot more time to enjoy all our beautiful trips.

Introducing Trail Markers

We are proud to introduce Trail Markers — our new brand for a younger generation of active nature travellers.

Three years ago, we started organising group trips for young adults under the name Yomads. The response was very positive and showed us there was a clear demand for active, nature-based travel for people in their twenties, thirties and forties.
Today, Yomads continues as Trail Markers.

Trail Markers is designed especially for active travellers who enjoy adventure in nature. Whether travelling solo, with a partner or with friends, trips are always organised in small groups of like‑minded people. Travellers share a similar stage of life and a love for being outdoors, combined with a healthy appetite for adventure.

Under the guidance of an experienced Trail Guide, groups explore lesser‑known natural areas while enjoying the ease of travelling together. They are supported by practical tools such as the Trail Markers Travel App, filled with useful information, as well as a shared group chat with fellow travellers.

In addition, we are currently developing Trail Markers Stories — our new outdoor inspiration platform, created to inspire and connect the Trail Markers community.

Introducing Trail Markers Families

As of this year, all family trips of SNP Natuurreizen fall under Trail Markers Families.

This is a natural step. Parents with children aged 6–14 often fall within the same age group as our Trail Markers travellers. Trail Markers Families is therefore designed for active families who want to experience nature together, with trips that combine adventure, comfort and shared outdoor experiences.

Our new SNP Natuurreizen logo

We would like to inform you that SNP Natuurreizen has introduced a new logo. With this update, we give our brand a fresh, contemporary look that is fresh, contemporary and instantly recognisable across all our communications.

We kindly ask you to use the new logo wherever the SNP Natuurreizen logo is used, for example on vouchers, transfer signs, or other materials. If the old logo is still in use, we would appreciate it if you could replace it with the new one.

You can download the new logo here.

Meet our (new) Product Managers

The Product Development department has expanded over the past two years with three young and promising colleagues. In this way, the extensive knowledge of the long-standing product managers—three of whom will retire in the coming years—is complemented by new energy and ideas. This expansion more or less coincides with the launch of our new brand, Trail Markers, which is aimed at a younger target group.

Since 2024, Cecile Mestini has been responsible for all hiking, cycling and trail running trips of the new Trail Markers brand. Lotte Huiskens started in 2025 as the product manager responsible for our family trips, previously known as Family Specials and now Trail Markers Families. Jente van Wingerden-Horsting, who has already been working at SNP for several years in Touroperating and Product Development, will take on responsibility in spring 2026 for trips in Slovenia, Croatia, Albania, Bulgaria and Romania.

We are looking forward to another wonderful year of travel in 2026, and are already beginning to think about great new travel ideas for 2027!

The SNP Tour Guides Department

The SNP Tour Guides Department acts as the link between our tour guides in the field, the various SNP departments and of course you, as our suppliers. Each year we create a schedule so they know which trips they will be guiding throughout the year. We ensure that they are well prepared by providing good content (such as tracks and maps) and offering an extensive training program.

We assist and support around 100 tour guides who lead groups for us. If problems arise while traveling, they can always contact us so we can solve them together. Customers rate our tour guides with an average of 9 (out of 10), which is exceptionally high.

In addition, about 50 group trips each year are guided by a local guide. Although we do not always know the local guide personally, we continually monitor the reviews of our clients. We are very pleased to see that the average rating for this group of guides is just as high. That makes us very proud!

If you would like to know more about our department, please do not hesitate to contact Martijn and Sandra at reispersoneel@snp.nl. In the meantime, keep up the good work!
