Which obligatory courses have successfully been followed by our guides?
All our tour guides have completed the following courses:
- Introductory course
- First Aid course
- Navigation: map & compass skills
- GPS
- Meteorology
- Social skills for dealing with groups
Their knowledge and capabilities have been tested and examined during a 5-day Outdoor exam in the Ardennes, Belgium, in which all of the above themes are covered
After successfully completing these courses, the tour guide will receive a diploma (level B1).
Optional Courses
Optionally, tour guides can enroll the following in-depth course:
8-day course in Switzerland where the tour guides are trained in navigation, knowledge of terrain & materials, working at high altitudes & during trekking, local crew management and of course first aid.
After successfully completing this course, the tour guide will receive a diploma (level B2).
Tour guides who want to guide a trip in the snow must follow an 8-day snow & avalanche course in Austria. Subjects that are covered are: winter first aid, orientation & winter navigation, and building an emergency shelter.
Our main goal has therefore remained unchanged: to prepare the tour guide as well as possible for his/her technical & social tasks and content-related knowledge in the field. These three core tasks are therefore tested as such by the customer and assessed in the form of a survey after the trip.
After successfully completing this course, the tour guide will receive a diploma (level B2).
