  • Reservations are still required even just to drive through the park at 6AM-2PM (ie. Hwy 120 from/to Lee Vining, Mammoth Lakes, Death Valley and Las Vegas)
  • Reservations are valid for three consecutive days
  • After making a reservation, visitors will receive a Timed Entry Ticket – will be required to enter the park from 6AM to 2PM daily and will allow visitors to enter the park during a one-hour specified window.
  • Reservations are NOT required for visitors with overnight reservations IN the park (Ahwahnee, Yosemite VALLEY Lodge, Curry Village etc), visitors using YARTS (the bus system)

Arches NP

Period requiring reservations: 1 April – 6 July & 28 August – 31 October, 2025
  (NO reservations required on 7 July – 27 August, 2025)

Time requiring reservations: 7AM – 4PM, Daily

Will start taking reservations on: 2 January, 2025 – 8AM Mountain Time

Additional reservations available: 7PM Mountain Time the before entry
ie. Reservations for 16 juni will become available at 7PM
on 15 June.

Additional Info: Glacier NP 2025 Reservation System

 In 2025, exactly as in 2024, Going-to-the-Sun Road (Logan Pass) is accessible from St. Mary’s Entrance WITHOUT reservations throughout the season but please be aware of the seasonal closure of Logan Pass due to snow; the opening / closing dates in the past are Here .

  • Reservations for each area are NOT required for overnight guests for the following lodges:
    • Going-to-the-Sun Road
      • Lake McDonald Lodge
      • Motel Lake McDonald
      • Rising Sun Motor Inn
    • North Fork
      • Reservations are required for ALL VISITORS

 

Also new from 2024, visitors will be able to access Apgar Village amenities, including the Apgar Visitor Center, without a vehicle reservation. Lodging, camping (including front country developed campgrounds and backcountry camping permits), transportation, or commercial activity reservations originating in Apgar will no longer provide access beyond the Apgar filter check point. 

  

Many Glacier Area Shuttle

The NPS announced there would be a different reservation system for Many Glacier area in 2025 (a separate area from Going-to-the-Sun Road). Due to the construction works at Swiftcurrent Motor Inn, the park service will be limiting access to the area. The shuttle requirement will be in place from 1 July to 21 September. During the period, all visitors in Many Glacier area (except visitors with rooms reservations at Many Glacier Hotel) ust purchase a hiker shuttle ticket. They are planning to issue around 120 tickets (only one ticket PER VEHICLE required) per day. Access to all trails will begin at Many Glacier Hotel upper parking lot – visitors with the shuttle tickets will be able to park at Many Glacier Hotel.

Two types of reservations will be available:
1. For the entire park + the Bear Lake Road Corridor (23 May, 2025 – 20 October 2025)
2. For the entire park only (exclude the Bear Lake Road) (23 May, 2025 – 14 October, 2025)

Time requiring reservations: 5AM – 6PM Daily (for the entire park + the Bear Lake
Road corridor)
  9AM - 2PM Daily (for the entire park exclude the Bear
Lake)

a two-hour specified window.
- After entering, visitors may stay in the park as long as they wish for the remainder of
the day.
- A limited number of additional reservations (40% of all reservations) will be available
for purchase 7PM MST on the evening before entry, through
Recreation.gov (NOT available at the park entrance)

Angels Landing in Zion NP

- The National Park Service (NPS) will issue permits using ONLINE LOTTERIES
at Recreation.gov
- There are two ways: the advance lottery/permit and the day-before permit
- The park will release reservations 1 month in advance in 3 month blocks:
1 – 20 January, 2025  1 March – 31 May
1 – 20 April, 2025  1 June – 31 August (lottery winners notified on 25 April)
1 – 20 July, 2025  1 September – 30 November (lottery winners notified
on 25 July)
1 – 20 October, 2025  1 December – 28 February, 2025 (lottery winners notified
on 25 October)

- Additional permits become available on the day before you want to hike – must
apply between 12:01AM and 3:00PM Mountain Time ie. If you would like to hike
on a Tuesday, you need to apply between 12:01AM-3:00PM on Monday. Permits
will be issued at 4PM on Monday.
- If successful, a confirmation email that serves as the permit will be send to the
permit holder.
- An electronic or paper copy of the confirmation email must be carried while on
your hike (mobile phone service in the park is very limited –
paper copy recommended)
- The permits are valid for a single day for a group size up to 6 people.
- People applying multiple times as permit holders will have their lottery applications
canceled without refund.

Haleakala NP (Maui/Hawaii – the sunrise reservation only)

Period requiring reservations:                   All Year

Time requiring reservations:                     3AM – 7AM Daily (for the sunrise)

Will start taking reservations on:              7:00AM HST up to 60 days in advance
                                                                 ie. Reservations for 15 June will become available on 16 April

  • The Sunrise reservations allow to the Summit District from 3am to 7am
  • No reservations required to enter the park besides this 4-hour window
  • Due to severe weather, the summit area could be closed. Please check the NPS site ( https://www.nps.gov/hale/planyourvisit/conditions.htm) for updates. There are no sunrise reservation refunds due to inclement weather.
